I’m so proud of Berty winning 5 times in his first Competitive Obedience Season, and I’m grateful to be starting the 2023 show season with two Novice wins, a BCOS grade 4 win, and two A wins already in the bag.
The next win has been taking longer than I’d hoped for, but it’s teaching me to let go of expectations, and just show up and do the best you can and let it unfold. We’re not taking any shortcuts and want to launch ourselves into the next level up with a performance we can be proud of.
We’ve had fun in the meantime, working on fitness, desire, keeping things light-hearted and joyful, enjoying the journey and sharing it with you. Keeping the momentum going can sure be challenging, but it’s a challenge I’m thankful to share with you as we go.
Enjoy pics of behind the scenes with Jasper as well as Berty, as we are having so much fun training at The Paddock.

Angela, I love the experiment, and please know it brightens my day to see you documenting it here; building in the open.

I was curious where the post was going as I started reading it, and I noticed the Logical Levels (I now call them the Levels of Creation) popping up in my mind’s eye.
Thank you for introducing me to the model. You likely won’t be surprised to know it shows up in most of my coaching sessions, either explicitly in conversation, or implicitly as I listen out for where the gaps are.
