Walking Round In Circles

ABOUT
After years’ of procrastination and following my ‘shoulds’, Walking Round In Circles is finally here as I surrender to my heartpull, my passion for dog training and sports.
After 17 years of studying the human experience and 18 years of loving dogs and dog sports, I’ve combined my passions with my love for website design to create Walking Round In Circles, as a beautifully designed and visually rich website.
Created by someone who is at the ‘coal face’ of both coaching and competing, Walking Round In Circles is a programme by international coach, Angela Watson, exploring the psychological principles, innate to all human beings, that combine to create our experience of dog sports and life. It points to a simple yet profound framework for understanding the nature of the human mind and it’s role in shaping our experiences of life, in the context of human/canine relationships, and everyday life with our dogs.
This programme explores what it is to be human in our interactions with our dogs, coaches, trainers, judges, loved ones, and ourselves. Walking Round In Circles is about love, interconnectedness, wellbeing, resilience, transformation, peace, harmony, and joy.

The overarching theme of the programme revolves around the innate capacity of people to realise their potential. By understanding the subjective nature of thought people can experience greater clarity and wellbeing, helping them get more out of themselves, their dogs, and their lives. In a glance or a touch, in a word or a silence, Walking Round In Circles emphasises the interconnectedness and mutually beneficial relationship between dogs and their people.

THE PROGRAMME
Walking Round In Circles combines photographs, insights, and stories exploring how our mind interacts with our body to either make or break our performance. These stories(gathered from Angela’s coaching clients and her experiences with her own dogs) are reminders to owners about how amazing they and their dogs are. They reveal how important the role of the mind is in shaping perceptions, emotions and behaviour and relationships. In many cases this understanding has been life changing for both people and the dogs they share their lives with.
“When I was asleep to who I really was, dogs helped me wake up to the beautiful feelings that are in all of us”
Jamie Smart, Author
